Srilanka, March 31 -- President Anura Kumara Dissanayake announced that the bill to recover assets acquired illegally will be presented to Parliament on April 8.

He emphasized that corrupt individuals will not be allowed to rule again, asserting the importance of re-establishing sovereignty.

He also stated that the government will restart several abandoned projects, including those funded by foreign aid, such as the Japanese-funded initiatives and the Kadawatha-Mirigama expressway project, as part of efforts to stabilize the economy.
