Sri Lanka, March 14 -- The President's Expenditure Heads of 'Budget 2019' was passed without a division.

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and Leader of the House and Minister Lakshman Kiriella told the House that they will not call for a division.

This was despite UNP MP Chaminda Wijesiri rising to his feet calling for a division.

Speaker Karu Jayasuriya said he would note down the objection of the UNP MP and pass the Expenditure Head without a division.

UNP MP Thushara Amarasena said Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe requested UNP backbenchers not to vote against the President's Expenditure Head.
