Srilanka, Feb. 17 -- The Budget proposals will focus on holistic development while envisaging growth that was mainly limited to the Western Province to flow rapidly to other backward provinces.
The NPP Government's maiden Budget will give high priority to eliminating rural poverty and unemployment, and increasing export income while achieving high continuous economic growth in the three sectors of agriculture, industry and services.
A senior official of the Finance Ministry mentioned that the Budget prepared by the Government headed by the President will include proposals that will take Sri Lanka to a new development direction.
The Budget also envisions improved tax administration, and accelerating Sri Lanka's digital transformation....
