Sri Lanka, Feb. 20 -- Brazil has extended an official invitation to Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake to visit the country, during a bilateral meeting with Brazilian President Lula da Silva held yesterday (19) on the sidelines of the AI Impact 2026 Summit in New Delhi. The two leaders discussed ways to strengthen economic and trade ties, noting that bilateral trade between Sri Lanka and Brazil in 2025 reached $188 million, below the previous record of $210 million in 2016. Both sides agreed to develop a comprehensive cooperation agenda covering key sectors such as tourism, agriculture, and trade.
