Sri Lanka, Sept. 30 -- President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, currently on an official visit to Japan at the invitation of the Japanese government, met with Japanese Defence Minister D.M. Nakatani yesterday (29) at the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo.
Talks centred on the longstanding friendship between Sri Lanka and Japan, regional security and ways to further strengthen existing cooperation on defence and security matters.
Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Minister Vijitha Herath, together with the accompanying delegation, also participated in the meeting.
