Sri Lanka, Jan. 31 -- President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has announced plans to designate a special day to celebrate the diverse cultures, traditions, and values of all ethnic groups in Sri Lanka.

The president revealed that this day will be observed in the month of October. He made this announcement while addressing a meeting held in Valvettithurai, Jaffna, today (31).

This initiative aims to promote unity and appreciation for the cultural diversity that defines Sri Lanka.
