Sri Lanka, Oct. 6 -- Not marking attendance on fingerprint machines has aggravated issue

Telegram delivered after one month to recepient Post Master General (PMG) Ruwan Sathkumara said that postal workers have fraudulently obtained overtime payments worth millions of rupees and that he is deeply embarrassed by the fraudulent and inefficient actions of some postal service officials.

The Post Master General said not adhering to mark attendance through fingerprint machines has aggravated the issue.

He stated this while participating in a ceremony held at the Haputale Post Office to coincide with Postal Day on Friday (3).
