Sri Lanka, April 17 -- The Election Commission has announced revised dates for casting postal votes ahead of the Local Government Elections scheduled for May 6, 2025.

Chairman R. M. A. L. Ratnayake stated that postal voting for all eligible institutions will now take place on April 24, 25, 28, and 29.

He explained, "Postal voting will be held across all government institutions, police, tri-forces, schools, corporations, and statutory boards on these four days without exception. Employees can mark their postal ballots at their respective offices."
