Srilanka, March 17 -- The extended deadline for accepting postal vote applications for the 2025 Local Government (LG) polls will end by midnight today (17).
Elections Commission Chairman R.M.A.L.Ratnayaka in a statement issued yesterday (16) said that this deadline on acceptance of postal vote applications will not be extended any further under any circumstances.
The Elections Commission (EC) requested those who have still not submitted their postal vote applications for the upcoming LG polls to handover their completed postal vote applications to the relevant District Election office in the District where their offices are situated before midnight today (17) and informed to refrain from posting them.
