Sri Lanka, March 29 -- Legal action will be taken against the drivers and the owners of the vehicles transporting schoolchildren without following health instructions, Police Media Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana stated.

DIG Rohana noted that children should not be permitted to remove their face masks when travelling in vehicles. He further stated that the risk for COVID-19 is yet to be eliminated from the country and that drivers and conductors of school transport are expected to be more vigilant in this regard.
