Sri Lanka, Nov. 27 -- Uditha Lokubandara, former personal secretary to ex-President Mahinda Rajapaksa, was arrested by the Nugegoda Divisional Criminal Investigation Department (CID) during an opposition protest rally in Nugegoda on November 25.

Police said Lokubandara was detained for allegedly concealing a pistol in a suitcase on the rally stage, where a large public gathering was present. He was questioned by authorities, and a formal statement was recorded regarding the incident.
