Srilanka, March 25 -- A complaint was filed at the Boralesgamuwa Police Station regarding an unclaimed parcel containing a substantial sum of money on June 09, 2023.

Initial investigations were carried out by Boralesgamuwa Police officers, and a report was submitted under case number M/U-B17644/23 to the Nugegoda Magistrate's Court. The matter was further referred to the Division for the Investigation of Prohibited Assets for a detailed inquiry.

The parcel was found to contain Rs, 10 million in valid currency. During the investigation, no rightful claimant has come forward to assert ownership of the funds.
