Sri Lanka, Dec. 22 -- A police constable involved in an alleged assault incident linked to Ratnapura District National People's Power (NPP) Member of Parliament Shantha Pathma Kumara Subasingha has been arrested, police said.
The constable was taken into custody by officers of the Embilipitiya Divisional Crimes Investigation Bureau on several charges, including unlawful obstruction, criminal force, and criminal intimidation. He is due to be produced before court this afternoon.
