Sri Lanka, Dec. 19 -- Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya presented a Supplementary Estimate of Rs. 500 billion to Parliament yesterday (18) to restore the livelihoods of the people affected by the cyclone across the country.

This Supplementary Estimate for the year 2026, which is aimed at restoring the livelihoods of those affected by the disaster and supporting the rebuilding of infrastructure, will be referred to the Committee on Public Finance (COPF) after it was presented to Parliament by the Prime Minister yesterday.

The Rs. 500 billion Supplementary Estimate will be then debated and approved by Parliament today (19).
