Sri Lanka, Feb. 23 -- "The Scouting Movement is not merely about holding positions, but a noble form of training that nurtures readiness to help others and serve society while being prepared," Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya said while addressing the 169th birth anniversary celebration of Lord Robert Baden-Powell.

The event, marking the birth anniversary of Robert Baden-Powell, founder of the World Scouting Movement, and World Scout Thinking Day, was held on February 22 at the National Scout Headquarters with the participation of the Prime Minister.
