Sri Lanka, Sept. 2 -- People's Bank launched its Mini POS merchant payment solution, aimed at strengthening financial inclusion and supporting the national digital economy plan.

The official launch event was recently held through the collaborative efforts of the People's Card Centre and the Liberty Plaza Branch. At the event, the first five Mini POS devices were presented to valued business customers of the Bank.

This cost-effective and accessible Mini POS solution has been specifically designed to integrate SME and micro-merchant sectors into the digital card acceptance platform. With low operating thresholds and affordable service structures, the initiative empowers SMEs and emerging merchants to accept card payments seamlessly.
