Srilanka, May 2 -- The Department of Immigration and Emigration has announced temporary restrictions on passport services due to local government election duties.

According to the statement, both the one-day and regular passport issuance services will be limited on May 5 to 7.

Additionally, the 24-hour one-day service facility will also be suspended during this period.

The department has advised the public to plan their passport-related needs accordingly, as services will resume normal operations after the election duties are concluded.
