Sri Lanka, April 3 -- The Immigration and Emigration Department yesterday said that the 24-hour service for the one day issuance of passports will not be operation on May 5,6 and 7 in view of the Local Government Elections.

The Department said that the decision was taken as one day and normal services for the issuance of passports to the public will have to restricted on May 5 to 7 due to Local Government election duties.
