Sri Lanka, March 1 -- Company registrations have accelerated in recent times - Wasantha Samarasinghe

A new recruitment procedure is being formulated for appointing an official to the position of Registrar of Companies, Trade, Commerce, Food Security, and Cooperative Minister Development Wasantha Samarasinghe announced in Parliament yesterday (28).

The Minister stated that Cabinet approval would be sought to legalize the new procedure, as there has not been a proper mechanism for appointing individuals to this post in the past.

Minister Samarasinghe made these remarks while responding to an oral question posed by MP Ravi Karunanayake regarding the Department of the Registrar of Companies.
