Sri Lanka, Oct. 10 -- The Navaratri festival was celebrated at the Parliament premises with the presence of Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasooriya yesterday, symbolising the multi-religious coexistence in Sri Lanka. Speaker, Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne, also participated in this occasion.

With the support of Fisheries, Aquatic and Marine Resources Minister Ramalingam Chandrasekar, and on the instructions of the Speaker, the Hindu Religious and Cultural Affairs Department of the Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs Ministry, and the Parliament jointly organised this festival.
