Sri Lanka, Sept. 30 -- Sri Lankan sprinter Nuwan Indika Gamage was placed fourth at the T-44 100m second heat with a time of 11.86 seconds yesterday in the World Para Athletic Championship at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi, India.
Indika the 28-year-old sprinter coached by Y.K Kularatne missed his chance to enter the final and the first three places were won by Brazil, Ukraine and France to enter the final. Indika couldn't reach his personal best of 11.45 seconds. Meanwhile on previous day, Sri Lanka's Buddhika Fernando and Janani Dhananjana were able to reach their personal bests in their events.
