Srilanka, March 20 -- The Health and Media Ministry is taking measures to establish paid medical services at selected Government hospitals for foreign tourists visiting Sri Lanka. These services will integrate both Western and Ayurvedic treatments, according to Ministry Secretary Dr. Anil Jasinghe.

Dr. Jasinghe made this statement following an inspection at the Pottuvil Base Hospital. He emphasised that promoting health tourism to attract foreign exchange is a key priority of the Government, aligning with the vision of Health and Media Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa.

As part of the initial phase, the Government plans to introduce paid services at Government hospitals offering both Western and Ayurvedic treatments within tourist zones. ...
