Srilanka, March 7 -- An estimated two million devotees are expected to visit Kandy for the exhibition of the Sacred Tooth Relic exposition. During the ten day festival, it is estimated that three people per second will visit the Temple of the Tooth for worship. Kandy SSP Anuruddha Bandaranayake stated that due to time constraints, only about 600,000 devotees would be able to enter the temple premises during the period. Given these limitations, he emphasised the importance of allowing the maximum possible number of devotees to pay their respects.
