Srilanka, March 12 -- The Police have identified 2,267 luxury vehicles operating with fake number plates through security cameras installed in Colombo City as part of an ongoing operation to catch traffic rule violators.
Launched in February of last year, the operation has successfully caught 12,246 vehicles violating traffic laws up until December 31. Using the cameras, the registered owners of these vehicles have been traced, and law enforcement actions will be taken accordingly.
