Sri Lanka, Oct. 28 -- Several Opposition parties announced yesterday (27) that they will launch a united campaign with a mass rally in Nugegoda on November 21 to show their opposition to the Government and galvanise public support for their effort.

However, notably, no representative from the main Opposition Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) was present at the media briefing despite the party being listed among the participating groups.

Political parties, including the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP), Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP), United National Party (UNP), Pivithuru Hela Urumaya, Mahajana Eksath Peramuna, National Freedom Front, Sri Lanka Mahajana Pakshaya, and Nawa Janatha Peramuna, are expected to participate in the rally.
