Sri Lanka, Jan. 7 -- Several opposition parties have filed a no-confidence motion against Education Minister Harini Amarasuriya, saying the government's education reforms contain errors and inappropriate content for children.
The motion was submitted today at the Opposition Leader's Office in Parliament under the leadership of Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa, who was also the first to sign the document.
The opposition stated that the motion was necessary due to the government's failure to take formal action to correct the problems in the proposed education reforms.
