Sri Lanka, Aug. 13 -- A special discussion involving opposition political parties is scheduled to take place tomorrow (14) under the patronage of former Minister G. L. Peiris.

According to political sources, the meeting aims to foster unity among opposition parties.

This discussion follows a similar meeting held last week at the residence of Mr. Peiris and is intended as an extension of that dialogue.

Opposition representatives have emphasized that the gathering is not aimed at forming an alliance to directly challenge the government, but rather to strengthen cohesion and collaboration within the opposition.
