Sri Lanka, Jan. 21 -- NPP Parliamentarian Lakshman Nipunaarachchi yesterday said that Opposition parliamentarians are speaking against new education reforms without studying them.

"When we were in the Opposition, we conducted thorough studies on issues and then debated in parliament," he said.

"Eventhough, there were many talks and discussions about new education reforms in this Parliament, no Leader of the Opposition or anyone in the Opposition has ever called for a debate in this regard to gain insight into the matter," the NPP MP told Parliament yesterday.
