Sri Lanka, July 19 -- A fisherman has been reported missing after a boat returning to shore from the Beruwala Fisheries Harbour was caught in strong winds early this morning (19).
According to the Director General of the Fisheries Department, Susantha Kahawatte, the vessel had six fishermen on board. The boat had departed from Beruwala on July 15 and encountered the adverse weather conditions while returning to land.
The missing individual is a 35-year-old man from the Dodangoda area. Search and rescue efforts are expected to continue.
