Srilanka, March 19 -- A fatal road accident on the Mirigama-Kandy Central Expressway on the night of the 18th resulted in one death and four injuries, including three young children and a woman, according to the Expressway Police.
Initial investigations reveal that the accident occurred when a cement lorry and a van, both traveling towards Mirigama, collided near Boyawalana, approximately five kilometers from Mirigama. The van, which was behind the lorry, crashed into the vehicle from behind.
A group of Sri Lankans residing in England, traveling from Kurunegala to Mirigama, assisted the injured and rushed them to Mirigama Base Hospital. Due to the severity of their injuries, all victims were later transferred to Colombo National Hospit...
