Srilanka, Feb. 18 -- The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has warned that water levels in reservoirs are rapidly declining due to extreme dry weather, urging the public to limit water usage to essential daily activities.
With high temperatures driving up water consumption, the Board emphasized the need for equitable distribution, prioritizing drinking and sanitation needs. Consumers in highland areas may experience low water pressure as a result.
The NWSDB assured that efforts are being made to minimize disruptions and requested the public to avoid non-essential water use, such as washing vehicles and gardening, to conserve safe drinking water.
