Sri Lanka, Sept. 18 -- Sri Lanka seam bowler Nuwan Thushara has moved up six places to sixth in the latest ICC T20I bowling rankings, issued yesterday. Thushara, the right-arm paceman currently playing in the Asia Cup in the UAE, has impressed with his consistent bowling, contributing to Sri Lanka's success in the tournament.

Leg-spinner Wanindu Hasaranga is ranked seventh. Hasaranga, who missed several series earlier due to injury, has returned to form during this Asia Cup. He remains a key spinner for Sri Lanka and was adjudged Player of the Series in the last 2022 Asia Cup.

In the batting rankings, Sri Lanka opener Pathum Nissanka has moved up one spot to sixth, while Kusal Janith Perera is in ninth place.
