Sri Lanka, April 17 -- The National Transport Commission (NTC) has received 187 complaints from passengers regarding bus services during the recent New Year period.

NTC Director General Nayomi Jayawardena reported that 63 of these complaints were related to bus operators not charging the approved fares.

Speaking on the matter, Jayawardena stated that the complaints, which were made through the 1955 hotline, also included issues such as the failure to issue tickets to passengers. She assured that investigations into these complaints would be conducted once the New Year festivities conclude.
