India, Dec. 1 -- The National Transport Commission (NTC) has issued a special notice instructing private bus owners, drivers and conductors to strictly follow the directions of Police officers on duty when approaching police barricades or roadblocks set up due to adverse weather conditions.

The Commission emphasised that, under no circumstances, should buses be driven into waterlogged or unclear road sections created by flooding. It further instructed operators to inform passengers in advance when using alternative routes and, if the bus cannot reach its original destination, to drop passengers at the nearest major bus station after notifying them.
