Sri Lanka, April 7 -- According to the first results released of the Local Government Election 2025, the National People's Power (NPP) has secured the highest number of votes in Tangalle Urban Council, Hambantota, securing 2,260 and winning nine seats.
Meanwhile, the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) garnered 1,397 votes, winning five seats, while the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) obtained 795 votes and secured three seats. Additionally, the United National Party (UNP) and Sarvajana Balaya claimed one seat each, as per the official results issued by the Election Commission.
