Sri Lanka, March 22 -- President Anura Kumara Dissanayake submitted a letter to Parliament requesting the removal of his parliamentary pension, emphasising the need for leadership by example in rebuilding the nation.
Speaking in Parliament yesterday (21), President Dissanayake also announced plans to introduce a Bill aimed at eliminating pensions for Members of Parliament (MPs) and amending the Presidential Privileges Act.
