Srilanka, March 31 -- Organized crime figure Amila Sampath, alias 'Rotumba Amila,' has been arrested in Russia.

The country's security authorities have officially informed Sri Lanka's Criminal Investigation Department (CID) about the arrest.

Further legal proceedings and extradition discussions are expected to follow.
