Srilanka, April 21 -- The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) announced that a turbine at the Norochcholai Power Plant, which had been temporarily shut down due to low electricity demand during the Sinhala and Tamil New Year festivities, was restarted at 11 a.m. today (April 21).
CEB Media Spokesperson Dhammika Wimalaratne stated that all three turbines at the plant are now fully operational to accommodate the increased power demand following the holiday period.
