Srilanka, Feb. 17 -- All three generators at the Norochcholai Lakvijaya Power Plant have been fully restored and reconnected to the National Grid after being non-operational following the nationwide blackout on February 9.

Two generators out of the three have been connected to the National Grid and the third generator is ready for connection if necessary.

All three generators of the Norochcholai power plant were shut down due the activation of its protocol system following the nationwide power outage.

Later, the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) imposed islandwide power cuts on February 10, 11 and 12 in response to the situation.
