Srilanka, Feb. 11 -- The Norochcholai power plant is expected to be fully operational by next Friday (14), ensuring a return to normal electricity supply, according to Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) Media Spokesperson Dhammika Wimalaratne.

Efforts are underway to restore all three generators at the power plant before Friday. Meanwhile, scheduled power cuts will continue, with electricity being disrupted between 3:30 PM and 9:30 PM in different zones across the country, with a maximum outage of one and a half hours per area.

Wimalaratne also noted that the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) has approved the current power management system, and an updated power cut schedule will be announced after today.
