Sri Lanka, Jan. 12 -- A generator at the Norochcholai Power Plant has been restored to normal operation after being temporarily shut down for maintenance.

However, the electricity generated by the unit has not yet been connected to the national grid, with officials reporting that it will be integrated in the next few days.

Currently, the plant has three generators capable of supplying 900 megawatts to the national grid, but at present, only one generator is actively connected. Another generator remains inactive, and efforts are ongoing to bring it back into service.
