Sri Lanka, Aug. 27 -- Former Minister Bandula Gunawardena stated that former President Ranil Wickremesinghe cannot be seen by the public until further notice, following medical advice. He made these remarks while speaking to the media today(27).

Bandula Gunawardena described the situation as highly unusual, noting that only since the time of King Rajasinghe has a state leader who governed the country been arrested in a similar manner. He also questioned the arrest, highlighting that Ranil Wickremesinghe had cooperated with ongoing investigations.
