Srilanka, Feb. 1 -- Power and Energy Minister Kumara Jayakody assured that the Government would not sell state-owned institutions. Reaffirming the administration's commitment to protecting state ownership in the energy and financial sectors, the Minister emphasised that restructuring efforts would only involve separating electricity generation, transmission, and distribution while maintaining full state ownership.

The Minister expressed these views, addressing officials and employees during an inspection tour at the Lakvijaya Power Plant in Norochcholai yesterday (31).
