Sri Lanka, Jan. 2 -- National Transport Commission Chairman Shashi Welgama said that although the price of diesel increased yesterday, there will be no revision of bus fares.

He said that in order to revise the bus fares, the price of a liter of diesel must be increased by four percent.

According to the national bus fare formula approved by the Cabinet on June 12, 2002, the bus fare revision will be done from July 2002 and accordingly, the bus fare revision should be published on July 1 of every year.
