Srilanka, Feb. 18 -- Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya clarified in Parliament today (18) that teacher transfers are conducted solely by the Teacher Transfer Board, with no political influence involved.
Responding to an opposition query, she explained that surplus teachers from provincial and national schools are temporarily assigned to vacancies based on subject requirements, with efforts to fill all available vacancies by the end of the year.
