Srilanka, Feb. 20 -- Energy Minister Eng. Kumara Jayakody assured Parliament that the government has no plans to limit, reduce, or halt the use of solar energy.
Responding to a question from MP Ajith P. Perera, the Minister emphasized the government's commitment to achieving a 70% renewable energy target, stating:
"No committee has been appointed for such measures. Solar energy is essential to our renewable energy goals. We are actively addressing concerns and working to integrate 2,000 megawatts into the national grid as soon as possible. Do not believe or spread false propaganda."
