Sri Lanka, Dec. 19 -- Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Minister Vijitha Herath told Parliament yesterday that there will be no LP Gas shortage in the country in the future.
The Minister said that the Opposition is trying to create unnecessary fear over the availability of LP Gas among the people.
He also stated that a new company has been found through a tender process for the importation of LPG and accordingly, the first gas shipment of that company will arrive in the island by January 5.
Making a statement in Parliament yesterday, Parliamentarian Chamara Sampath Dassanayake accused the Government of causing a LPG shortage in the country by March due to awarding of the tender to the new company.
