Sri Lanka, Jan. 15 -- The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) has announced that no electricity tariff revision will be implemented for the first quarter of 2026, due to the failure of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) to submit a formal proposal within the stipulated time frame.Sri Lanka travel

The Commission stated that its decision was based on several factors, including the delay in submitting a proper proposal, deficiencies in the initial submission, and the risk that even if a revised proposal is presented later, implementing a tariff revision for the short remaining period of the quarter could lead to disproportionately high percentage changes in charges and related disadvantages.
