Srilanka, May 20 -- Dr. Saveen Semage, Chief Executive Officer of the National Medicines Regulatory Authority (NMRA), has resigned from his position with immediate effect as of May 17, citing threats to his life. The decision follows a disturbing incident on May 9, when two unidentified individuals unlawfully entered his residence between 11:30 p.m. and midnight. CCTV footage reportedly shows the intruders attempting to access the room where Dr. Semage, his wife, and children were sleeping.
