Sri Lanka, Oct. 15 -- Skipper Chamari Athapaththu (53) and Nilakshika Silva (55 not out in 28 balls) guided Sri Lanka women to reach 258 for 6 wickets in 50 overs against New Zealand in their Women's World Cup fixture played at R.Premadasa International Cricket Stadium yesterday.

The number six batter Nilakshika de Silva was the highlight of Sri Lanka innings and she made 26-ball fifty which is the fastest fifty in this World Cup and Sri Lanka lasses added 80 runs in last ten overs to pass 250 mark and Nilakshika was leading the way to hit her unbeaten 55 in 28 balls with 7 fours and a six.
